I hate John Adams.
Recently my family has been watching the John Adams HBO mini-series on DVD. It’s actually really helped with my midterm studying for APUSH (which I haven’t done at all otherwise…). That being said, however, it’s also reminded me of my deep hatred for John Adams, and has probably even worsened it. That man did like nothing as president. Plus he hated Thomas Jefferson. Who hates Thomas Jefferson?! Well, he didn’t really hate Jefferson, they were more like frienemies. But still, that man could hold a grudge. His dying words? “Thomas Jefferson lives.” In fact, Thomas Jefferson had died a few hours earlier. But at least he had good dying words: “Is it the fourth?” Both of them died 50 years to the day after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Cool stuff.
In other news, we had a paddling race today. God, I hate stroking. That is, being in first seat. It’s way more tiring than anywhere else. Except maybe seat five which just sucks. But anyways, we came in second to last, which wasn’t too much of a surprise. There were these two schools though that kept cutting us off and bumping our boat. Talk about rude. It’s not technically against the rules, but jeez, at least be considerate.
